If cooking counted as a workout, I would have been an over achiever last week!  But, I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not a good multitasker, and always let other things go when I’m hyper-focusing on something.  I know – not a good trait to have…

Monday
I had a busy work day on Monday with lots of clients who wanted to get their workouts in before the long holiday weekend, and I managed to get a really good strength training session of my own in between clients.  Boom – great start to my week!

Tuesday
No one from my running group was able to meet me on Tuesday morning, so I headed out by myself and decided to push it on the loop that I’ve been running for years.  I ran 6.38 miles at a 8:50 pace.  While running, I mentally planned my hour-by-hour schedule for the next few days.

Wednesday
As I mentioned in my race recap, I met my MRTT friends on Wednesday morning for 6.05 miles in the pouring rain.  We ran at a 9:33 pace, and when we finished, we were so soggy that we hopped in our cars, and took off for home.  We didn’t want to ruin our phones by getting them wet while taking a picture, soooooooo……… since there’s not picture, did we really meet for a run?

After my run, I only had one client to train, before starting my marathon cooking day.

Thursday
Following our family tradition, I ran in the Ashburn Farm Thanksgiving Day 5K on Thursday morning.  This year I decided to race the course just to see how I could do, despite the fact that I was wearing a pilgrim costume!  My official race results were 24:23 (7:51 pace), and won my age group.  My Garmin makes it appear like I pulled a Rosie Ruiz!

Friday
Rest, unless you count the millions of trips I made up and down the stairs carrying boxes of Christmas decorations as exercise...

Saturday
I didn’t get to bed until after midnight after watching Friday evening’s Virginia Tech football game against our instate rival UVA in the Commonwealth Cup.  Despite just over 5 hours of sleep, I couldn’t wait to get up and run with my buddies.  We ran 8.04 miles at a 9:20 pace; and when I got home, I started my marathon Christmas decorating day.
