On Thursday, I posted One Word… and wrote the word “RUN” in several different languages; then asked if you knew which languages they were.  I know them only because I googled them while writing the post.  Not to brag, but I did know “run” and “unray” without looking them up.

Injury update:  This morning I ran four miles alone, and finished just as my friend Vel showed up for our four mile walk.  I felt really good afterward, too.  Yay!  As soon as I got home, I put my ice pack on my back, trained a client, foam rolled, and then just “hung out” for a while on my inversion table, and then iced my back again.

Most of the Cruisers, and a lot of other runners, were resting for their Cherry Blossom Ten-Miler tomorrow, so it was a quiet morning on the trail. While alone, I stopped to take a quick photo of a gorgeous cardinal sitting in a tree.  A lady came along and asked if I was lost (she thought I was looking at the GPS on my phone).  I wanted to say that I was trying to take a picture of a bird, until she scared it away, but I politely said that I could certainly understand that’s what it looked like I was doing.  I did tell her that I had probably run about 4,000 miles on that trail in the past 15 years, so I knew my way around.  Wonder if she was impressed?  Bill and I just did a quick calculation and estimated that it’s probably closer to 10,000 miles… or more.  OMG!!!  OK, so that leads me to a great idea for a future post about the miles I’ve put on this body of mine!

We have friends coming over for dinner this evening.  We are serving salmon, roasted veggies, a salad, and an outstanding Pinot Nior.  Our friends are just about the world’s best cooks, so I’m thinking I might be a little crazy making salmon (his specialty) for them!  Our friends are bringing the appetizer and dessert.  I didn’t like salmon until about five years ago, and now I just love it!
