Warning:  This post contains thousands of fatty calories, so pull a seat up to our dining room table and let’s talk Christmas food…

I like coconut milk, and I love anything that combines mint and chocolate, so how could I pass this up at Harris Teeter when I shopped for our Christmas spread?  At only 50 calories per half-cup serving versus my ever tempting holiday favorite, Southern Comfort Vanilla Spice egg nog at 220 calories for the same amount, it was a no-brainer.  I sipped on this liquid deliciousness while doing food prep on Christmas Even afternoon.

After Bill got home from work we chilled, had sushi for dinner, and then went to the 8 PM Christmas Eve mass at our church…

After church we have a tradition of coming home for a fun family evening complete with Christmas snacks, cookies, Toasted Almonds, and watching TV, playing games, or just hanging out…

For our Christmas morning feast, I always make sausage rolls…

And this Overnight Blueberry French Toast has become another Christmas favorite…

After brunch, we opened gifts…

I’m not too proud to say that I’ve been known to drop a hint or two about something I want, and Daniel got me this Brooks Nightlife Running Jacket.  It’s a super thin unlined shell and is the perfect weight for winter running for me.  I pop it over a long sleeved shirt and I’m perfectly comfortable on our cold winter runs.

Julie got huge brownie points because she stood in line at the Virginia Tech bookstore to get us this book signed by Frank Beamer, the Hokies head football coach.  When she and Joseph gave it too us, I may or may not have screamed and fallen to the floor in excitement…

After a quick late-afternoon visit with Julie’s family, we returned home and I made chicken parmigiana for Christmas dinner.  It takes forever to make, but it’s delicious!

Pardon me while, I got on a twenty mile run to burn some of these calories off!  HaHa!  Actually, I’ve taken the last two days off to relax and chill with my family, while putting some serious thought into my 2014 racing calendar!
