As a Sweat Pink Ambassador and member of Fit Approach, I was given the opportunity to try LYFT Clean Caffeine Energy Stir Sticks at no charge, in exchange for writing a review of their product.  Even though I was given the product for free, all opinions are 100% my own.

On Friday afternoon two stir sticks arrived in a little package.  The packaging says that the 125 mg of caffeine is derived from green coffee bean extract.  A serving size is one stick, which contains no calories and supposedly has a clean taste; however, after a few sips it had a slightly different taste that I didn’t want in my water.  It was so subtle that I’m sure it wouldn’t be noticeable in juice or another flavored drink, but I like my water to taste like water.

A Starbucks 12-ounce brewed coffee has 260 mg of caffeine, but since I’m not a coffee drinker, I decided to compare the 125 mg caffeine stick to other caffeinated drinks that might cross my lips:

12-ounce Diet Dr. Pepper – 42 mg caffeine
1-tube Zipfizz – 100 mg caffeine
12-ounce Starbucks hot chocolate – 20 mg caffeine

The process is easy; simply remove the label from the stick and stir into your preferred beverage…

While I like the concept of adding caffeine to other drinks if you’re not a coffee drinker and would like a little boost first thing in the morning, this product isn’t for me.  On the two days I tried Pure LYFT, I felt completely normal, and as if I’d had any other caffeinated drink.  I didn’t get a headache from having too much or too little caffeine and I had no negative reactions; however, I don’t see myself purchasing the product.

While we’re talking about caffeine today, just a friendly reminder that when taking in any caffeinated drinks, keep in mind that caffeine is a diuretic and can cause dehydration.  Drink plenty of water to replace those lost fluids.  You’ll feel much better and be glad you did!
