I learned about the “Never Hungry, Never Full Survival Bag” when I took a class to become a Certified Weight Management Consultant. Jack Broderick, our instructor, was a high energy man who kept you hanging on every word; and yes, he had his survival bag right there on his desk. Years later I still tell my clients to carry this snack bag with them. The idea is to always be prepared with healthy snacks so you don’t get caught out-and-about hungry; and therefore, tempted to grab junk food to eat. I keep this with me everyday and often grab a snack as I’m driving from one client to another. There’s a wide variety of things you can pack, depending on how many hours you’ll be away from home.

Here are some ideas for what you can put in your “Never Hungry, Never Full” bag:

  1. Almonds
  2. Apple slices
  3. Blueberries
  4. Carrot sticks
  5. Cherry tomatoes
  6. Edamame
  7. Grapes
  8. Greek yogurt
  9. Hummus
  10. Turkey, scallion, and green leaf lettuce wraps
  11. Water bottles

Today I trained my youngest client EVER! During our consultation she told me she wants to work on her abs and thighs!  🙂  No seriously, I train her mom and today we decided to give this little cutie pie a one-pound dumbbell to see what she would do. I am thrilled that it matched her outfit so perfectly!
