Ten years ago today, Bill and I bought our third, and we say final house.  We have no plans to move; we’ve acquired too much crap to ever move again we like it here that much!  We burned a lot of calories over the three or four days that we moved, but never missed a run!  We moved much of the smaller stuff ourselves (see trailer behind my 4Runner), but we hired a moving company to move the furniture.  We probably spent at least a day moving just the kids’ sports equipment; and probably another day moving Bill’s and my running shoes!  😉

Moving out!

We loved our old neighborhood, but we found a house just a mile away that has the most amazing back yard with a creek!  It’s our little bit of country in suburbia (my perfect combination), and has provided us with hours of entertainment watching the wildlife.

For a runner, what’s not to love about our lot?  You step off of our property and onto a community trail that winds 28 miles through our neighborhood.  Bill was standing on the corner of our deck when he took this picture of me standing on the trail.

After running on our community trail for 1.5 miles, you come to the W&OD Trail that you hear me talk about all of the time.  It’s a 45-mile long regional park that just happens to be a pedestrian and horse trail!  There really is no excuse for me not to run forever!
