Inspired by yesterday’s news about the Mediterranean diet, I allowed myself to only put heart-healthy fresh fruits, veggies, and salmon in my shopping cart during today’s visit to Costco. Considering my chocolate/vanilla swirl frozen yogurt didn’t make it into my cart, I kept to my promise! 🙂

I walked into the wellness center this afternoon and was treated with this beautiful new stone wall! The doctor told me that this was in the works, but I had no idea how cool it was going to look!

While I was admiring the wall, the doctor’s 74 year old mom came up to me and said that when she was little, she learned a little poem which she recited to me. It goes like this:

Good, better, best

Never let it rest

Let your good be better

And your better will be best!

Here are my good, better, best thoughts related to everyday health:

Good – go for walk/run and eat healthy

Better – go for walk/run with a friend, eat healthy, and drink plenty of water

Best – go for walk/run with a friend, do a little yoga, eat healthy, drink plenty of water, and get a good night’s sleep

Gotta go work out! I didn’t fit it in this morning, but it’s not too late!
