Even though I’m not running Boston this year, I’m very excited that it’s Boston week, or at least that’s what I’m calling it!  I thought I’d start you off with a little quiz to get you in the mood for the race!  I’ll post the answers on Sunday.

In 1997, Adidas gave out a very cool postcard packet at the expo.  Each card represents one of the towns you run through on your way to Boston.  At the eleventh hour one night (years ago), one of my sons told me that he needed to take a postcard to school for a project, and these were the only postcards I had.  Just thought you’d like to know why “Brookline” is missing.  🙂

I love this saying!

Here’s my 1997 Boston Marathon poster.  I don’t think the runner looks like me, but you’d be surprised at the number of people that are positive that’s me.

In 2010 Adidas gave out these small poster boards for fans to make signs on the back  to hold up for their runners.  I still have my signs that Cruisers Jerome, Chuck, and Sal held up for me when I passed.  You’ll meet them later this week in my 2010 Boston recap.

Here’s the 2010 Boston Marathon poster.  The poster background is made up of the runners’ names written in really tiny print.  My name is under the second o in the first (big) Boston!

I saw this forsythia bush today with the blue sky backdrop and thought the colors coordinate well with today’s post.   🙂
