Welcome to Wednesday Word, a weekly linkup for everyone, not just health and fitness bloggers. Each Wednesday you will have a single word prompt to write about.  Let your imagination run free and share with your readers your interpretation of that word, or simply use it as inspiration for your post. Today’s word is bountiful (suggested by Erin)…..  I’d love to have you link up, and if you do, please remember to follow my six simple rules.

Bountiful – liberal in bestowing gifts or favors;
given or provided abundantly
~ Merriam-Webster

My family has always been so very important to me, and I was blessed to be born into a very loving family. There were just the four of us, but Mom and Dad both came from larger families, so grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins were plentiful – many of them living nearby. Indeed, God was generous when dishing out our family.

My parents taught my brother and me the importance family; and I am thankful to have found a husband with similar values who has created a happy, loving, and fun family with me. Through our children, our family is growing. When our oldest son married, we not only gained a daughter, but we gained an entirely new extended family.

With much of our family not living in the area, my abundance of friends have always been so important to me. I’m so appreciative of every single friend who warms my heart in their own special way. Some friends are fun-loving and carefree, some are serious, many are runners, some are not; but they all enrich my life in a way no other person could, and for each, I am thankful.

Yes my life is filled with bountiful gifts from above – a roof over my head, food on the table, and all the comforts I could ask for; but it’s the people God has brought into my life that mean the most to me.
