Not sure if I had the post-vacation blues or still wasn’t feeling well, I muddled back into my routine on Wednesday morning after spending Tuesday cleaning the beach house and then driving home from the Outer Banks. I quickly discovered that routine was exactly what I needed and now that my summer cold has moved on, I’m finally back to my old self.

When my MRTT friends started a thread on our Facebook page asking who planned to run the Leesburg 20K on Sunday, I admitted that I was on the fence. My MRTT/Cruiser friend Beth chimed in that she would love for me to join her for an easy paced race. After stringing her along all week, I finally decided on Friday morning to run it with her and shortly after making the decision, Erin texted asking if I still planned to run what has become our favorite race. The three of us agreed that running the 20K at an easy and laid back pace made the most sense for each of us, and that’s exactly what we did!

It turns out that running for a couple of hours with good friends was all I needed to get my mojo back. The race was a blast, but I won’t go into details now because I plan to post a race recap later this week.

Speaking of getting my mojo back, here’s how my week went down…

Fitness tools beyond the equipment in my gym that I used during the week included:

  • Questions:
  • What do you do to get out of a funk?
  • Have you ever run a 20K?
  • Did you race this weekend?

Have a great week!
