~ Runfessions ~
A collection of statements admitting
that one is guilty of a variety of running crimes…
It’s time again to join in on the fun and clear my conscience of recent running, biking, fitness, nutrition, and life in general faux pas. I know I’ll feel better when I’m done, and maybe, just maybe, I’ll give you a laugh or two in the process!
I runfess: Like everyone else, I like to watch TV while walking/running on my treadmill or riding my spin bike; however, I only watch broadcast channels. Why? I have no idea how to turn on Apple TV, Prime, or Netflix. We have them all, but I’m clueless even though Bill has shown me several times. I know, I’m pathetic!
I blogfess: I let my eighth blogiversary pass on January 31st without celebrating… not even one little mention at the time. 😔 Happy belated blogiversary, Deb Runs!
I blogfess: Speaking of my blog, I’ve written a lot about running over the past eight years. When Jessie at The Right Fits wrote about having her blog made into a book, I loved the idea so much that I looked into it for Deb Runs. I checked out PixxiBook which she recommended and discovered that it would require 4,264 pages in 15 volumes for approximately $2,060. That’s about $137 per volume. 😬 Guess I’ll pass on adding these riveting novels to our library.
I runfess: Sometimes I just don’t understand my Garmin (affiliate link)… I came in from a run last week and couldn’t get it to sync with my Garmin Connect app on my phone (the app couldn’t find my phone). After many tries, I finally deleted the watch from the app and tried to reconnect it. Even though I turned both devices off and back on, the app could never find my watch so I gave up. About two days later I decided to try again, and my Garmin was connected to my phone and had uploaded the run from earlier. How could it add my watch back on to the app by itself without me typing in the code that shows up on my watch? More importantly, what would keep it from adding someone else’s Garmin to my Garmin Connect account? Could it be that because it had been connected before it was able to bypass the code process? So many questions, but remember, I don’t know how to watch movies on TV, so there’s that. 😆 🤣 😂
I runfess: Speaking of my Garmin, I now wear it super loose when running or walking on my treadmill (affiliate link) in hopes that its distance, and therefore the speed, will match that of my treadmill. I’ve learned not to make it too loose or it will appear that I’m flying and I have to stop swinging my arm to let the treadmill catch up with my watch. 😂
There you have it, my most recent runfessions; and you can bet that it feels good to get another set off of my chest! See you next month in the runfessional.
