The Gym is Gonna be Stylin’

We’ve had contractors in our basement for the past two weeks doing a variety of jobs – most time consuming has been putting up beadboard wainscoting. After a few days of seeing how amazing the finished product was going to look in the rest of the basement, we decided to add it to the gym.

As a result, the gym has been torn apart with weights stacked wherever they wouldn’t be in the way, dust flying, and home clients scheduled on weekends or on weekdays to finish before 8 AM or to start after 4:30 PM so we wouldn’t be in the carpenters’ way. Additionally, I didn’t want to be working out while the workers were there so I lifted at 5 AM all three days, but never found time to get on my spin bike (affiliate link). Luckily, I could walk and run outside.

And no, I haven’t forgotten to post pictures of the finished kitchen cabinets – I’m just waiting until the knobs and handles get put on before sharing.

I’m tired just thinking back to all I accomplished yesterday (26, 490 steps). In addition to the above activities, I taught a 2-hour fitness machines orientation class and once home, vacuumed the basement even though the contractors had cleaned up pretty well before they left on Friday. Just before heading up to bed shortly after 9:30 PM, I realized that I had not foam rolled after my run, but was just too exhausted and skipped it.

Last Week’s Blog Posts

In case you skipped checking in on my blog this past week, here’s what you missed…

 Questions:
  • • What fun projects have you been working on lately? ~ I plan to redo another picture wall in the basement once the dust from the remodel settles.
  • • Have there been any big changes in the weather where you live?
  • • Did you run in a race this weekend?

And that’s my rundown… Have a great week!
