Whirlwind Week

Honestly, I don’t even know where this week went. I had a couple of new clients which always takes a little extra time, but seriously, that doesn’t explain the whirlwind week. I wrapped up my spring flower planting and completed a huge indoor project, relieved to  have both behind me. And while I fit in most of my workouts, I didn’t make the time to to ride either my indoor or outdoor bikes.

Overview of the Week

Before discussing each day’s workouts, here’s an overview of my workouts from this past week. Scroll beyond the infographic for daily details…

Sunday

Rest day

Monday

Strength training : 1 hour of total body

Tuesday

Running: 5K
• Average pace: 9:34
• Start time: 9:09 AM
• Location: neighborhood circle
• Weather: 55° and Sunny
• What I wore: capris and s/s shirt

Gardening: 3 hours

I was so busy that I completely forgot to roll or stretch after my run and it wasn’t until the following morning that I realized I’d skipped it.

Wednesday

Strength training : 1 hour of total body

Walking: 1 mile
• Average pace: 16:04
• Start time: 5:39 PM
• Location: neighborhood circle
• Weather: 73° and cloudy
• What I wore: capris and s/s shirt

Thursday

Running: 5K
• Average pace: 9:46
• Start time: 9:32 AM
• Location: neighborhood trails
• Weather: 62° and cloudy
• What I wore: shorts and s/s shirt

The scent of honeysuckle lining the trail made this a run to remember and my pace was slowed as I stopped occasionally to take in the sweet fragrance!

Rolling: 10 minutes

Stretching: 10 minutes

Gardening: 30 minutes

My gardening consisted of sweeping up dirt off the deck and refilling the massive holes some little jerk squirrel had dug in four of my flower pots. At least he hadn’t thrown an uprooted flower overboard like one did day-after-day many years ago. LOL

Friday

Strength training : 1 hour of total body

Balance and stretching: 45 minutes

Saturday

Rest day

Rest day… HaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHa! This is only listed as a rest day because I didn’t have time to fit in any exercise. I spent the entire day (8 hours (plus 5 hours on Friday)) installing hardware (knobs and handles) on our newly painted kitchen cabinets. The most tedious part was measuring and remeasuring (even with templates) prior to drilling all 113 holes. I’m thrilled with how it looks and can’t wait to share the almost-final results of our kitchen makeover at our next coffee date.

Last Week’s Blog Posts

In case you skipped checking in on my blog this past week, here’s what you missed…

 Questions:
  • • What recent garden, yard, our house projects have you worked on lately?
  • • What funny critter encounters have you had in your yard or while out on a run?
  • • Did you run in a race this weekend?

And that’s my rundown… Have a great week!
