Today I’m heading home after a nice visit with my parents and shortly I will hop in my car for a six-hour drive home. On days that I don’t head east for my run, I can head in the opposite direction and run along the river. It’s a beautiful run, but there’s a bit more traffic and the road is very narrow…
Driving along here on Tuesday, I saw a great blue heron sitting in the river. I had hoped to see him again today…
- Questions:
- Where are you going on your next over-night trip?
- Have you ever run where you had to dive off the road when a car came alone?
Love looking at your running pictures! PS- I need your address to send you those wipes!!
Thanks! I just sent it to you. 🙂
Have a safe trip home! Pretty much any day I run on the roads around our house I have to dive in the ditch to avoid being hit by a car. The roads have no shoulder and there are a lot of blind curves.
My next overnight trip is a camping trip next weekend! We are going up to Louisa to go to the rodeo 🙂
What a beautiful place to be. I would run there even if it meant jumping off the road for traffic 🙂 I feel like in a lot of isolated parks it can be like that but you can hear cars coming. These are not roads to listen to music on. I am going to Eugene next week for a couple days and I am so excited!
I’m sure you’ll find plenty of beautiful running spots in Eugene! Have fun!
I love the pictures! Did you take them or Bill?
Thanks; I took these with my little camera. I will credit Bill with any I post that he takes. 🙂
Enjoy your trip! I’ve never had to do such a dive, thankfully.
Having just come back from a stint of travel, I’m actually hoping to be home for another month and a half. Then, LOTS of nights away in June/July again!
