Yay, it’s Friday! After taking four days off to visit my parents, today was filled with make-up sessions with clients. Can just spend a second here to tell you that I have the nicest clients in the world?
Yesterday my running friend Kati posted this on my facebook. You’ve got to go check out the other clever things Ryan Gosling has to say at Hey Runner Girl.
My friend Jessica just posted this over at her blog What’s Mom Cooking…? If I hadn’t been so tired, I would have gone to the grocery store after work to pick up the ingredients to make it. I can’t wait to try it!
However, I wasn’t too tired to whip up some banana bread with chocolate chips. Hey, the bananas were going bad and I needed to use them! After looking at Jessica’s photo above, I realize that I needed to crop more of my plate out. Next time, I promise!
I’ve noticed several fellow running bloggers asking about adding speed work to their workouts, and wondering where to begin. I will write a post in the next day or so about speed work and give you some of the workouts that I had my runners do when I coached. Stay tuned!
- Questions:
- What’s your favorite kind of pizza?
- Do you add chocolate chips to your banana bread?
- Do you incorporate speed work into your running routine?
Glad you made it back safely and are playing catch-up. Lately I have been obsessed with tortilla pizzas. So easy and good! And I love chocolate chips and speed, so I am pretty easy today 🙂
I have been adding speed work to my runs a little informally. The school year is winding down and I’m on a time-consuming committee at the moment so I haven’t been as diligent about it as I want to be in the future. I’m excited about what it might do for my longer runs.
Favorite pizza: Jet’s square or round pepperoni and mushroom
I rarely DON’T add chocolate chips!
I start adding in speedwork when I feel like my base is strong and legs are ready. Definitely!
I always feel like the chocolate chips sink to the bottom in my banana bread – any brilliant suggestions for solving that (mini chips aren’t too available out here)? However, I compensate by adding a healthy slather of Nutella to my banana bread. =)
spinach and feta pizza… mmm… never tried the zucchini but have seen it! Maybe tonight?!
My running goal for May is to start incorporating one speed work workout a week. I am going to start with one a week and then increase when I know my legs can handle it! I would love some tips; can’t wait for your upcoming post!
Favorite pizza (don’t judge me): pepperoni pizza with the cheese taken off.
I don’t like chocolate (again, don’t judge me), so no chocolate chips in my banana bread. That would ruin it for me!
I am one of those bloggers asking for advice about speed work! As you know, I did my first speed work session this week. I was so scared, but it went well. I’m looking forward to that post!
Oooh I like the look of those zucchini boats!
I like making homemade pizza with lots of sauce, little cheese, and lots of green/red/yellow/orange peppers! Delish 🙂
