We woke up to a beautiful spring day and found that the Easter Bunny had left basket for Bill and the boys…
We attended 7:30 AM mass…
We came home, goofed off, and then had a simple brunch…
I took a thirty minute nap…
We made filet Mignon for dinner…
And then… We had cannoli for dessert! I gave up sweets for Lent and this cannoli was worth the wait!
The only thing missing was a run, or at least a walk around the neighborhood…
Happy Easter!

- Did anyone race this weekend?
Happy Easter! It looks like y’all had a nice day together 🙂 The Easter Bunny did not visit us or leave baskets this year. One of my chickens did take over Easter bunny duty, though, by hiding an egg outside in the chicken run. Funny that it happened on Easter, since the chickens haven’t laid an egg outside of the nesting boxes for quite some time now.

HaHa! I love that one of your chickens hid an egg for you! Did she dye it first? 😉
Yes, she dyed it brown! 😉
Mmmm, cannolis!! And those Easter baskets look yummy. I’m trying to stay away from the girls’ Easter loot today!!

It felt great getting out of the sugar grip so I’m going to try to keep sweets to a minimum. We’ll see…
Extra crispy bacon is definitely the way to go! We had a nice lunch/dinner at my aunt’s house. Very low key, relaxed and good food – what more can you ask for?

Family and good food = excellent holiday!
Crisp bacon for sure – we fight over the crispiest pieces! No running for me, but I walked by butt off in Disney. My daughter had a pedometer – we walked 7 to 10 miles every day!
