Welcome to Wednesday Word, a weekly linkup for everyone, not just health and fitness bloggers. Each Wednesday you will have a single word prompt to write about. Let your imagination run free and share with your readers your interpretation of that word, or simply use it as inspiration for your post. Today’s word is faithful….. I’d love to have you link up, and if you do, please remember to follow my six simple rules.
Faithful – having or showing true and constant support or loyalty
~ Merriam-Webster
A Faithful Friend
Is the Medicine Of Life.
~ Ecclesiasticus 6:16
I considered writing about how faithfully following my training plan would give me a leg up on meeting my spring racing goals, or how I’ve seen a marked improvement in my flexibility by faithfully practicing yoga daily for the last two weeks, but decided instead to move away from the topic of health and fitness. Today, I’m talking about a faithful friend – a friend who is there for me, no matter what.
Sometimes I pinch myself, and wonder how I got so lucky for God to bless me with such a faithful friend with which to share my life. In a world so large, how did the two of us end up at the same university, living on the same quad, and being introduced by a mutual friend?
Who is my faithful friend?
He is the man who started out as a crush, became a friend, then a boyfriend, and finally my husband…
He is the man whom I followed from the comfort of Virginia to the mountains of Utah, then Colorado, and finally back to Virginia…
He is the man who fathered our two beautiful baby boys…
He is the man who encouraged me to live my dream of working in the fitness field…
He is the man who eventually became my favorite running partner…
He is the man who never complains when I ask for technical support…
He is the man who pushes me to be the very best that I can be…
He is the man who over the years has become my very best friend…
He is the the man whom I intend to grow old with, and cherish every day…
Yes, I’m lucky to have such a faithful lifetime friend and hope you are, too.

How wonderful that you still have close friends from high school. I’ve reconnected with several of mine through Facebook, but don’t get to see them very often.

I love that; and now that you mention it, I guess Bill’s my cheerleader when I figure out something technical on my own, too.
Your post brought tears to my eyes. Is it too late to do the link up? I love this word. Let me know, I can get a post together soon as this word has been brought to my attention lately…
