Fitbit Premium

I purchased my first Fitbit over ten years, but have always used the free app. This year, a health insurance change qualified us for Fitbit Premium. When logging onto premium I discovered it includes coaching from Peloton, Les Mills, and a variety of other instructors. I had previously completed a few cycling classes when visiting our son and d-i-l who have a Peloton bike and enjoyed the challenge so I’m happy to see some of those classes in my future.

Overview of the Week

Before getting into each day’s workouts, here’s an overview of my workouts from this past week. Scroll beyond the infographic for daily details…

Sunday

Cycling: 50 miles
• Bike: Life Fitness Lifecycle GX Spin
• Average speed: 16.4 MPH
• Surface: N/A
• Elevation gain: N/A
• Start time: 8:59 AM
• Location: basement
• Weather: 63° in basement, 33° and mostly sunny outside
• What I wore: bike shorts and sports bra

Walking: 2.07miles
• Average pace: 15:46 minute/mile
• Elevation gain: 77 feet
• Start time: 2:07 PM
• Location: neighborhood circle
• Weather: 44° (feels like 41°, climbing to 43°) and sunny
• What I wore: capris, fleece jacket, visor, and gloves

I debated on going outside for a walk and I’m glad I did. The sidewalk around our little neighborhood circle was clear except for in front of a few houses – always the same ones. When I didn’t feel safe on the sidewalk I walked in the street (sounds kind of funny, doesn’t it?), but I didn’t see any cars so all was good.

This walk earned me a 200 walking activities badge.

I picked out a Peloton workout that looked challenging and fun, not just the steady spinning I’ve gotten into the habit of doing. I loved it and will try to add a class to my winter workouts at least twice a week.

I finished my first ride and took a short break before starting the Peloton class. After class I put on a tank top to take an “action” picture, but couldn’t find my phone. I’d left it setting on the Wainscoting ledge for an “authentic look since that’s where it sets while streaming my class – took me a second to find it – so in the picture below, imagine it setting on that ledge next to the door. LOL

Last Week’s Blog Posts

In case you skipped checking in on my blog this past week, here’s what you missed…

Questions:
  • • Does your health insurance provide any perks like fitness coaching or rewards for exercising? ~ Ours offers fitness coaching, but no rewards program.
  • • If you live in a colder climate, how are the sidewalks where you live? ~ A few of our sidewalks still have patchy snow on them and we’re expecting snow all day today.
  • • Did you run in a race this weekend? ~ no

And that’s my rundown… Have a great week!
