Today I’m joining Deborah at Confessions Of A Mother Runner and Coco at Running With Perseverance for their monthly Ultimate Coffee Date linkup! Be sure to stop by their blogs for a cup of coffee and to say hello; and while you’re there, be sure to check out some of the other bloggers who are participating in the linkup.
If we were having coffee…..
I’d remind you that I don’t like coffee or most things pumpkin so don’t even bother asking if I like pumpkin spiced lattes. I do love ice cream sandwiches, but don’t buy them because I have zero self control when they’re around. Today I found an ice cream sandwich at Whole Foods that wouldn’t tempt me, and no, I didn’t buy them.
If we were having coffee…..
I’d tell you that I got my biopsy results back from the abnormal spot on my skin that was removed from my lower thigh/upper knee and all margins were clear! I can ease back into running on Monday, but will wait until Tuesday to meet my friends at the track so if I need to stop, I won’t be too far from my car.
If we were having coffee…..
I’d tell you that as a result of my surgery, Sunday will be a DNS to the Army Ten-Miler for me. I’m so bummed because I’ve never run the race and was so looking forward to running it with Jess, my son Daniel’s girlfriend.
If we were having coffee…..
I’d tell you that work has gotten so busy lately and I love it! I am working with such fun people who are looking to improve their health, return to their previous fitness levels, lose weight, learn to run without pain, and in general learn to live a healthy lifestyle.
If we were having coffee…..
I’d tell you that I’m getting all fall cozy over here, inside and out (if only the weather would cooperate). I’ve put out all of our fall decorations, including what few Halloween decorations I have. As soon as Halloween is over, the Thanksgiving turkeys, pilgrims, and Indians will go out!
If we were having coffee…..
I’d ask if you’ve commented on my blog recently only to find your comment not post. If so, I’d tell you that for some odd reason Akismet is suddenly classifying the majority of comments as spam or trash and I have to free them from comment purgatory before they show up on my blog.
If we were having coffee…..
I’d ask if you have a race coming up, and if you do, I’d wish you good luck and remind you to have fun!
- Questions:
- What’s your favorite season?
- Do you decorate for fall?
- Are you racing today or tomorrow?
I really like your front door. Love the arch. Good news with your biopsy results. I bet you’re ready to run!
Fall is probably my favorite season. My daughter loves to put up the decorations, she does a pretty good job!
Thanks, Cyndi! Now, if only the weather would cooperate with the fall season!
Yep not a psl fan either! I do love fall decorations as well. I was waiting for it to feel fall like before putting them out but I am thinking next weekend. Fabulous news that your test results are good. Thanks for joining us for coffee today!
Yeah, I was waiting for more fall-like weather, too, but gave in and put our decorations up this past week.
So it wasn’t just me! Whew!
Look what I just found in my spam folder; however, the comment you posted today made it through and posted just fine. Go figure!
Glad to hear all of your tests came back with good news! I agree with the pumpkin stuff. I LOVE eating it (pie, bars, or maybe muffins/bread), but do not (I repeat, DO NOT) ask me to drink it.
Pumpkin bread or pumpkin cupcakes are about the only pumpkin things I like, but some people really do love it!
Ohhhh, I love your front door …anything with arches speak to me!
I don’t care for anything pumpkin either …except for pumpkin muffins with chocolate chips, which I’ve been making way too many of lately. Yikes!
Glad you got clear margins and are free to resume running next week! Great news!
Thank you! Those doors and our garage doors are my husbands pride and joy. He refinishes them twice a year to keep them looking their best.
I do like the sweet pumpkin breads or cupcakes that I make around Thanksgiving time. That does me for a year, though! 😉
Sorry you have to miss ATM but glad your biopsy was clear. Not sure about the weather for tomorrow anyway ….
Thanks, Coco! Did you make it to the race? I understand the high humidity made the conditions miserable.
I’m so sorry you’re missing the race, but that’s awesome that the margins are clear.I had to miss a few races this year due to family obligations, and even though you know it’s not the end of the world, it’s still a bummer.
I do like pumpkin but not coffee. And for some reason the notifications for your comments tend to end up in my email spam folder. And then there’s another blogger friend where my comments rarely publish (although they do sometimes). #firstworldproblems
Thanks, Judy!
I have a blogger friend whose comments have ended up in my spam folder for about six months and I can’t figure out how to fix it. Prior to that they were fine…
Darn blogging software!
I am so with you on pumpkin (except for pumpkin pie)! I will not be having a pumpkin spice latte! Fall is my favorite season but I see it as apple season! I want apple everything!
I could get into apple everything, too. 😀
Sorry about your DNS but it’s great news about your biopsy being “all clear”!
Thanks, Jen!
Ha! I totally get the no-pumpkin thing- I do love pumpkin, but as a natural contrarian, it sort of irks me how overdone it all gets- ice cream sandwiches are a perfect example! Love your front door btw!
Thanks!
Did you hear about the school in PA (I think) that had to be evacuated last week because teachers and students were getting sick from an unusual odor? It ended up being a pumpkin spice air freshener. 😀
i get the whole not liking pumpkin thing although i LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. I am having the whole spam comment issues too and i didnt realize until very recently 🙁
My comment issue on my blog is improving. I think Akismet must have fixed a bug when they updated their plugin.
