Red sky at night,
Sailors delight!
Red sky at morning,
Sailors take warning.
I thought of that little poem this morning as Bill and I went on an early morning run and saw this beautiful sunrise on the eve of the looming snow storm, the local media is referring to as “Snowquester!” I plan to get up early tomorrow to run before the snow gets too deep. I’m sooooo excited!
Remember the sumo mandarin tangerines I talked about yesterday? I had one today and it was delicious!!! The name sumo was more descriptive of the peeling than the tangerine! That poor little guy was kind of lost in all of his skin. 🙂 Don’t get me wrong, he was larger than a regular tangerine by far.
I had the best surprise waiting for me at the wellness center today; the new mirrors were being installed! Now our little personal training studio looks twice as big and my clients can check their form while working out!
Since I plan to make beef stew during the snow storm tomorrow, I decided to make something totally different and low fat for dinner tonight. Every once in a while I like to make omelets for dinner. I use egg whites (Kirkland Real Egg), spinach, tomatoes, scallions, mushrooms, and a little grated cheddar cheese. Yum!!!
- Questions:
- Are you an early morning runner?
- What would you do if you were going to be snowed in tomorrow?
- Do you like breakfast for dinner?
I have reluctantly become an early morning runner. I just won’t do it when I get home from work, so I know I have to do it in the morning. I’ve been seeing “05:XX” on my alarm clock a little too frequently for my taste, but it is getting easier. Today I woke up at 4:30 on my own, but I think that was out of excitement hoping for a snow day! ha. I’m hoping to go on a snowy morning run, too, but reallllyyyyy want the conference I am supposed to be going to to be cancelled…but no luck so far (bummer for me, my actual work IS closed).
Work is closed, but you have to go to a conference? Oh gee, that just stinks! I hope you can find time to run in the snow!
I am forced to be an early morning runner during the week because I have to run before my husband leaves for work, but on the weekends I wait until after breakfast and either go on a trail that is by our house or run out on the streets. I have only run in snow once out in Ohio, it was not fun! I am born and raised a Californian. I love breakfast for dinner!!
