I haven’t done an installment of Friday Favorites in a while, so today I’m going to focus on a few new fitness products I’m enjoying…
Now that the dust from my gym renovation has settled, I picked up a Lifecycle spin bike from our local Leisure Fitness. Yesterday I put five clients on it for warm-ups and got all thumbs up! My previous stationary bike was pretty basic and had lost it’s a ability to change resistance ages ago. A great perk of getting a new piece of equipment for my gym is that Bill and I will use it for cross-training. I love it already and I’ve only used it twice.
Back in December I found out I was Amy’s Armpocket winner! Not only was I the winner, but Armpocket allowed me to pick out which model I wanted from a variety of styles. I chose the Nighthawk because it’s got a red flashing light that shines behind you and a white light in the front. The really cool thing is that you can work the touch screen through the clear plastic cover.
Earlier this week I mentioned that two straps on my original pair of Yaktrax broke after wearing them a few times on dry pavement on days when the shady part of the trail was icy, and the sunny sections were clear. My new pair of Yaktrax came in mail today; just in time for tomorrow’s Cruisers run on the snow packed W&OD Trail!

Ohh, fun new things!! That’s a really nice looking bike. I’m not a fan of bikes because they always hurt my bum, but I imagine in a spin class you don’t sit a whole lot. Maybe I’d like that more.
That’s why I upgraded to a wider seat!

Wow-you sure got an awesome Armpocket! That version is KILLER. Mine does not light up, but I LOVE the bright yellow color it came in. So glad you won and are enjoying it 🙂

It would definitely help me get out and do some running in the snow. I’m terrified of falling-I’ve fallen and reallyyyy busted up my leg once in the summer with no ice so eek.

I have actually never taken a spin class and just ride on my trainer in the basement. I always hope to go to one, but my basement wins each time 🙂
