Today I’m joining Coco at Running With Perserverance, Deborah at Confessions Of A Mother Runner, and Lynda at Fitness Mom Wine Country for their monthly Ultimate Coffee Date linkup! Be sure to stop by their blogs for a cup of coffee and to say hello; and while you’re there, be sure to check out some of the other bloggers who are participating in the linkup.
If we were having coffee…..
I’d tell you that much of the snow has finally melted in our cul-de-sac. Just in time for the next snow storm that might hit Monday/Tuesday…
If we were having coffee…..
I’d tell you not to forget that I have a giveaway going on! Check out my review of the Halo all-in-one headphones and headband from Tuesday, and enter for a chance to win your own Halo Headphone.
If we were having coffee…..
I’d tell you that I have a new running buddy, and she’s beautiful! Twice now, I’ve been able to take my next-door-dog out for a run. Stella does great, and stays right beside me keeping my pace. Yesterday she starting pulling to the side which was unlike her. When I pulled her back toward me, she stopped and pooped. Apparently dogs get runners’ trots, too.
If we were having coffee…..
I’d tell you that Stella and I both wore red yesterday to bring attention to women’s heart health since it was the first Friday in February. I’d also remind you that February is National Heart Month.
If we were having coffee…..
I’d tell you that Bill and I are throwing a huge Italian dinner party tonight. This week I’ve shopped, cleaned, set the dinning room table, you name it, and I’ve tried to do it in advance, including cleaning everything in my china cabinet at 10 PM last night. Here’s to fun evening with wonderful friends!
If we were having coffee…..
I’d tell you that tomorrow night I’ll be watching the Super Bowl, and don’t really have a team preference since the Redskins didn’t make it – nothing new there… I would also admit that I like Coldplay and that I’m looking forward to the halftime show. I’d ask you if you’ve seen any of the Super Bowl commercials released early this year. I haven’t, and I’m wondering if I live in a bubble.

- Questions:
- What would you tell me if we were having coffee?
- Who do you hope wins the Super Bowl? Do you like Coldplay?
- Are you racing this weekend?
Living in France I am so out of touch with some of the American cultural things… and completely forgot it was Super Bowl weekend. I have no idea who is playing.
When we have guests I prepare long time in advance because I prefer to socialize when they are there and not spend time in the kitchen. Washing the china before they come ? Yup, I do that too.
That’s a good point! Once again, I was putting the last of the ingredients in the salad, and about to pull the dishes out of the ovens right as our guests arrived; and I was totally relaxed and able to enjoy our guests.
How fun that you can take your neighbor’s dog out! No parties planned for us, but I sure do need to do some cleaning! Last weekend was all about doing all the errands we didn’t do during Snowzilla, so I guess this weekend needs to be about getting some of those household chores done.
I’m not sure who enjoys our runs more, me or Stella! 😀
Italian dinners are my favorite! Yum! Your new puppy is so cute-enjoy her. Yeah kind of hoping that we don’t get that snow storm Monday. Kind of done with it. Thanks for linking up today for coffee!

Dinner was delicious, even if I do say so! Stella is a cutie, but she’s not ours. She’s our next-door-dog!
I don’t have a team in the game either – but I’m looking forward to the commercials and the half time show. I’m a Coldplay fan too! Your dinner party sounds like a great idea – have fun!!

Thanks, our dinner party was a blast!
I don’t really have a preference for the Super Bowl, but it would be nice to see the Panther’s win since they’ve been having such a great season so far.

I hope it’s going to be a close, good game. I heard a sports announcer describe it as a game between Cam Newton and the Bronco defense.
I mean how cute is Stella?! haha about the runner trots. I am a Steelers fan so no dog in this fight this year for the Super Bowl but I’ll watch it and enjoy anyway. I haven’t seen any commercials but I also don’t watch a lot of TV. Have a fun weekend!

Thanks, Mar! Boo, that neither of us have a team in the game.
I don’t want to see the Superbowl commercials in advance because that’s the only reason I watch. That and the party food. Can I come to your dinner party? It sounds wonderful. Everything I host now is just so casual. I think the only time I set the dining room table is for Christmas Dinner. One of my dogs will look up at me and pin her ears back. That’s my cue to stop for a potty break. Enjoy your weekend!

Even though I enjoy the game, I prefer not to see the commercials in advance either. It just seems surprising that I haven’t seen any on TV or shared on FB this year like I usually do. I will admit that I watch less TV, and don’t spend as much time on FB, and now that I think about it, that’s probably the reason! 😀
Don’t care about the superbowl, but the Today show previews the commercials so I’ve seen some.
Have fun with your dinner party! It actually sounds exhausting to me. I’m a homebody who doesn’t like to entertain.
Yup, moving can get things moving along for dogs, too. Which is why it’s so important to walk our dogs, not just let them out into the yard!

Good point about the Today Show. I used to record it, and then watch parts of it later if I had a chance, but don’t do that anymore. I bet that explains it!
Yes, throwing a dinner party is exhausting, but since Bill and I love entertaining, it’s worth it for us. We also through a huge Memorial Day barbecue and invite over 120 people. That’s a lot of work, too, but so fun for us!
I don’t watch tv or football, but I’ll be watching tonight just because I like to watch the ads and the halftime show LOL.
Cute pup!

Thanks! Stella loves the attention! 😀
No football for this gal, I don’t even know who is playing lol I love that you run the neighbors dog 🙂 Stella will be your buddy for life.
I love how you are always entertaining. its nice you and the hubby seem to really enjoy that together 🙂
Stella LOVES our runs together!
Yes, Bill and I certainly do love entertaining! Our two big annual events are our Italian dinner party and huge Memorial Day barbecue.
Stella looks really sweet! I love the idea of a next-door-dog!
It’s a big sports weekend over here in England too – we have the rugby Six Nations kicking off today. We don’t have the same level of entertainment (bands etc) that things like the Superbowl get. I have to admit that I wasn’t a big Coldplay fan until their most recent single – I’ve always found them a bit depressing in the past.
Hope the snow on Monday or Tuesday doesn’t last too long for you!
Next-door-dogs are great! I get all of the puppy kisses I want and can take her for runs, but don’t have to vacuum up her hair! 😉
You know, I’ve never watched a rugby match… 🙁
I like Coldplay so I’m looking forward to their performance! Your running buddy is adorable! I’ve never run with a dog, it looks like a lot of fun. I hope you enjoy your Italian party!

Thank, the dinner party was a huge success!
Stella is easy to run with because she’s so good at staying right to my side, doesn’t trip me up, pull on the leash, etc. 😀
LOVE Stella…she’s so beautiful. LOVE Italian food…one of my faves. Very sad that my team didn’t make it to the Super Bowl this year:(, but will be cheering on Carolina
Stella said to tell you thank you! When going out to eat, Italian and Mexican are my favorites; but when it comes to cooking, I prefer make Italian dishes.
That’s cool you have a new running buddy and so funny to think that dogs get runners trots, too! I guess it makes sense. Hope your dinner party goes well! I will be in Germany for the SuperBowl, not that I ever care much about football anyway. Not since the 1985 Chicago Bears, anyway.

Hope you have a great trip to Germany!
I would tell you how much I enjoy Deb Runs! I only wish I was as young and healthy as you are! You are like spring time coming to visit me! Because of breast cancer, a bad back, neuropathy, osteoporosis, and so forth I can use an elliptical bike and I do some resistance bands…at least I”‘m trying! Please continue. Your blog! I do so enjoy it!thanks and Happy Spring….I wish I could come to your party tonight! Love you for what you do…keep it up! Lucilla
Aw, thanks, you are so sweet! Using an elliptical and working with resistance bands gives you a great workout. Keep up the good work!
If we were having coffee, i’d share my excitement in watching some great commercials tomorrow night (with a football game mixed in). I might eat a few chips (alongside some salsa) as well, guilt-free.
I make a yummy Mexican layer dip once a year (for the Super Bowl), and enjoy it, guilt free, as well! 😀
Wait what!!! More snow…I missed that memo!!
Look at the running buddy 😉
Ciao bella-enjoy!!
Rooting for good football tomorrow but I kind of want the Broncos to win for Peyton to go out on top.
Yeah, they’re calling for snow Monday night into Tuesday… :-/
