Amazing experience

Realizing you’re exhausted, but having the time of your life

This past weekend, I ran my fifth Ragnar Relay with Ragnar newbies and Ragnar pros. Once again, it was an amazing experience watching my team work together and bond while running 206.7 miles from Cumberland, Maryland to Nationals Park in DC. Our team, We Thought You Said Rum, is an inspiring group of runners from many different walks of life, and I can’t wait to introduce them later this week as I begin the difficult job of recapping so many incredible moments in just four posts…

In the meantime, here’s just a little tease to let you know that we finished, mostly unscathed, and with smiles on our faces!

With Ragnar DC this weekend, there was no problem hitting my workouts, especially my running mileage; but sleep, that’s another story…

Cameras used for blog photography include:

  • Questions:
  • If you’ve run an overnight relay, how did you train differently than for a regular race?
  • Have you seen a break in the weather?
  • Did you race this weekend?

Have a great week!
