Today I’m joining Coco at Running With Perserverance, Deborah at Confessions Of A Mother Runner, and Lynda at Fitness Mom Wine Country for their monthly Ultimate Coffee Date linkup! Be sure to stop by their blogs for a cup of coffee and to say hello; and while you’re there, be sure to check out some of the other bloggers who are participating in the linkup.
If we were having coffee…..
I’d tell you that today is Bill’s and my 34th wedding anniversary. We’re keeping it simple this year because there’s no way we can celebrate as big as we did last year when we hosted Joseph and Julie’s rehearsal dinner!
If we were having coffee…..
I’d tell you that Joseph and Julie moved to Chicago last week and Bill and I already have plans to visit them next month. I have a feeling we will be flying to Chicago a lot during the next two years while Joseph works on his MBA at the University of Chicago.
If we were having coffee…..
I’d tell you that Bill and I have been having a blast at the beach and it’s going to be a rude awakening when we have to go back to reality. We might just stay here until September when we need to get back to civilization and catch a plane to Chicago.
If we were having coffee…..
I’d tell you that running in the sand isn’t easy, and that running during low tide at 1 PM is extremely hot!
If we were having coffee…..
I’d tell you that the sleep tracker on my FitBit has looked a lot better since I’ve been at the beach. (Note: FitBit is an affiliate links. For details, check out the lower right sidebar). I’ve gone from an average of about five hours sleep per night to about eight hours!
If we were having coffee…..
I’d tell you that I’m thankful that my son Daniel lives nearby and has been house sitting and watering my deck plants while we’ve been living the good life!

- Questions:
- What would you tell me if we were having coffee?
- If you are married, how many years have you been married?
- Are you racing this weekend?
Happy 34th!!!
If we were having coffee I would tell you that even though I wait until 10 pm to go out for a run with my dog, it’s still hot out and I think I inhaled 100 tiny bugs! UG
Oh those tiny bugs – ugh! My husband went out last night to take pictures of the full moon over the ocean and he got bitten by a million mosquitoes!
Happy anniversary you two! What a great way to spend it at the beach for the summer. We are headed there later today for a few days. Thanks for linking up with us today always great to catch up with you!

Thanks, Carrie!
Congrats on 34 yrs! Almost 30 here. Right now we have no plans, except for my half in VT in Oct, which is near our anniversary. We lived in VT when we first got married.
Really not a whole lot interesting going on in my life at the moment, except maybe the death of my treadmill.

Oh no – your poor treadmill! Hope you can get it fixed and not have to replace it.
Oh, running on the beach can be tough on your calves! Yeah on getting caught up on your rest and enjoying yourselves — Happy Anniversary!

Thank you! We are having a very relaxing time! 🙂
Happy anniversary. We are celebrating 19 years on Monday. I ran in the sand recently and it killed my hips. It took me almost 3 weeks to have no hip pain. Really weird !
Glad you are enjoying your time at the beach.

Happy anniversary a day early! Glad your hip pain is gone – I’m always a little nervous when I run on the sand.
Happy 34th! I always sleep better at the beach! Amazing right? and yes running in the sand is tough! Enjoy!

Thanks! I wish it weren’t too hot to sleep with the windows open – that’s always amazing at the beach.
Happy Anniversary! I’m on marriage #2, we celebrated 8 years this spring. We were married in Vegas so at some point we will celebrate by renewing vows with Elvis or something cheesy (our ceremony was at the historic landmark Little Church of the West, not cheesy). Enjoy the rest of your time at the beach!

How fun to renew your vows with Elvis! Do you think you’ll do it on your tenth anniversary? 😀
If we were having coffee I’d tell you that Gabe has his first day of 9th grade tomorrow (it’s 9th grade orientation… the whole school returns officially on Thursday – so maybe he really doesn’t start until then?). Glenn and I have been married 18 years (June 29).

Even starting school this Thursday seems really early. The kids where we live start the Tuesday after Labor Day, but then they don’t get out of school until the third week of June… Here’s to a great 9th grade for Gabe!
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I miss our runs and chats so much! So happy you’ve had such a relaxing and fun time at your home away from home! 🙂
I miss you, too! It was so good to see your smiling face in a picture from after a run on Facebook recently!
