Today I’m joining Coco at Running With Perserverance, Deborah at Confessions Of A Mother Runner, and Lynda at Fitness Mom Wine Country for their monthly Ultimate Coffee Date linkup!  Be sure to stop by their blogs for a cup of coffee and to say hello; and while you’re there, be sure to check out some of the other bloggers who are participating in the linkup.

If we were having coffee…..
I’d tell you that I wrote this post on Wednesday before the craziness of Ragnar DC hit; however, I wrote it as if I were typing Saturday morning in the back of a big white van.

If we were having coffee…..
I’d tell you that while you’re reading this morning’s post, I’ll hopefully be finished with my first two legs of my third Ragnar Relay, and I’ll be patiently waiting to run my third and final leg as my teammates accompany me on my final strides as our team completes Ragnar DC 2015.

If we were having coffee…..
I’d tell you that Hurricane Joaquin has had my undivided attention for the last four days.  He added a difficult dimension to packing for Ragnar DC, and the relentless rains from an un-associated nor’easter have made for soggy running and swampy vans.  At the same time, the monsoons have added a certain level of excitement and badassery to the whole event!

If we were having coffee…..
I’d tell you that running and college football are two of my favorite things, however; this weekend running won out.  Bill and I sold our tickets to the VT vs Pitt game so I could run Ragnar.  Hokie fans, please forgive me!

If we were having coffee…..
I’d tell you that Bill, Daniel, and I had the best time last weekend in Chicago!  We spent Thursday through Monday with Joseph and Julie.  While there, we helped Joseph celebrate his birthday, and even got to see him off to his first day of MBA classes at Chicago Booth.  I teasingly offered to take his picture on his first day of school like we did from kindergarten through senior year of high school, and now I regret that I didn’t.

If we were having coffee…..
I’d tell you that in another week I’m going to visit my mom for a week in early October and can’t wait.  Fall in Southwestern Virginia is extraordinarily beautiful!

If we were having coffee…..
I’d tell you to enjoy the wonderful fall weather and cooler, less-humid days that we’ve all been looking forward to – once we get this hurricane out of our way!
