I’m beginning to think that I will never finish painting… I’d hoped to post pictures of my beautiful new sitting area on our deck where our hot tub used to be, but I was so busy painting this past week that it didn’t even dawn on me to take a picture. To make life crazier, just as I finished painting the privacy wall, our swing came in. I picked it up on Friday, and started painting it yesterday. Painting between all those little slats is a pain in the neck, ya’ll!

I’d hoped to get the Loudoun Half and 8K recap up by last Thursday, but that didn’t happen either. Bill is working on editing pictures from the race as I type, so hopefully the recap will be up by this Thursday.

Since I never see my friend Erin anymore (she now runs at 5 AM and I just can’t do that – 5:30 is early enough for me), we met for lunch on Wednesday. Again, no picture. What? It was so nice catching up. This coming Friday and Saturday we will have plenty of time to catch up since she’s running Ragnar Trail Richmond, too!

Wednesday afternoon I had my six-month full body check with my dermatologist. I’m always on edge just a little bit before I see him, but I’m thrilled to announce that I’m a year and a half skin cancer free!

It rained yesterday for our run, and my Cruiser/MRTT friend Kim and I ran ten miles together. We started at 7 AM with our MRTT friends in a light drizzle, and then swung back to the parking lot to meet the Cruisers at 8 AM in a light rain. The only two Cruiser friends who had shown up, had already left because it was raining too hard for them, and they left to go to the gym. One friend was planning to run/walk, so I can totally understand not wanting to walk in the rain.
